Time Wasting

So what have I been doing instead of writing all the things I need to write?
I have been surfing DeviantArt for pictures of people who could be Asteria.
Now my thoughts on Asteria are as follows:
1: Its Asteria because seriously is any pureblood family going to name their daughter after a Muggle music venue in London or a Muggle hotel in New York? Really? Where as Asteria is one of the Titans in Greek mythology just like her son Scorpius. It just makes more sense.
2: She needs to have blonde hair as it is quite unlikely that Scops would have his father's white blonde hair if his mother was not at least fair. I actually thought it would be nice if her hair was strawberry blonde just because Draco has spent so long dissing the Weasley's for their red hair that it would be ironic if he ended up marrying someone of that persuasion. It would also be thick and wavy in a slightly Hermioneish way because my personal fanon is that he had a crush on Hermione after she slapped him in third year and he likes thick hair. Don't look at me like that. Besides its totally canon. Go on read that scene in the forest at the world cup again, go on... see? :)
2: Draco needs someone to ground him. He is very good at the Grand Schemes, the One Big Idea things, but not I suspect at the every day stuff like getting food on the table on time on a regular basis. I have a really amusing mental image of Draco and Narcissa surviving on toast for a while after the Ministry take control of their house and all their stuff. Then Asteria steps in and goes "This is a cook book, these are some handy household spells now for Merlin's sake go out and get a job!" She is practical and efficient and doesn't mind getting her hands dirty. In my mind she feels... solid.
Now this made it very difficult to track down an actual image as apparently blonde woman with curly hair do not look sturdy and sensible and wear practical clothes. Asteria did not approve of some of the pictures I found though she did wonder about surprising Draco in one of the outfits just to see his face.
I did find a couple interesting ones but none that really stood out apart from this one which is unsafe for work BTW because you know showing the sexy side and all but in a grounded sort of way and this one which shows her outdoorsy aspect.
So then I thought of TV women... and well, now in my head Asteria is a combination of Claire Bennet and Juliet Burke. At least in looks and hopefully not the whole cutting her own toe off or killing people thing. But both characters have a real inner strength which I think comes out in the pictures I chose. So obviously Asteria looks more like Claire when she is younger, she laughs at Draco's impressions, she listens and she takes no shit from anyone. It was actually a lot more difficult to find good drawings of Juliet but then of course I was also being careful to avoid spoilers so couldn't look too hard. Asteria checking Scop's hair for nits (seriously that is the exact expression my mum has when she checks my sister's hair, rolling her eyes at Draco's new scheme, waving Scops off at the station and still taking nobodies' bull shit.
So yeah, many thanks to the artists that drew all the lovely pictures and yeah, Asteria is really becoming a person in my mind. Its cool.
