April Fools and Prefectship
Well I for one am absolutly exhausted after our riot last night. Would you believe I didn't get to bed until 2 in the morning! It was worth it though, it isn't often that you embark upon a perilous quest to save a rooster, witness, try to prevent the horror of your UR mother falling for the noted spouse killer Mrs Zabini, inspire a drabble and acheive the rank of Prefect all in one night. And Draco doesn't seem to be as annoyed this year as he was the last couple of years, maybe being on the run has softened him a bit, either that or he just has better things to do with his time then chastise his humble minions. Pity I was quite looking foreward to seeing Desie realise her dreadful mistake.
All five of our older pet lambs are suckling off the bucket now, but unfortunatly we have two new ones who are completly useless. And lambing isn't even half over!
Could some one tell me which challenges I have to do to gain other ranks, I am rather curious and quite desperate to climb further up the UR ladder.

Well, there's 33 post challenge, where you get a special image for your signature if you make 33 posts in a day.
The Treasure Hunt, which is just good fun with no actual reward - btw, since that was started before we revamped last August, you'll be wanting to look in the archives.
And there's this one here which means you get promoted to Malfoy House Elf (though it's an ongoing challenge, not a one off, you must keep fulfilling the requirements to keep your promotion).
The only other rank you might get is that of Honourary Malfoy, which is bestowed entirely at the whim of the Redeemers to those they think are good members, which is obviously an elusive requirement! Just why they're a good member tends to vary depending on the person. Desie and Chilla are examples of HMs, and they got those ranks for different reasons. So, not a rank which is given lightly or quickly.
Hope that explains it! :)

And thanks for the link to Desie's journal. I'll go and check it out.

SHOCK.
ROSE.
Have you been sniffing in the archives to see how badly Draco told other people off? That sounds... positively gleeful on your part. ARE you disappointed?

*proud* That's my ruthless little Slytherin protege. One day, she's tugging your dressrobes in excitement, the next day she's already looking for ways to outrank you. *misty-eyed*
You SHOULD do the 33 Challenge, the prize IS wonderful, though you're going to need to adopt a newbie, I think, and goodness knows those are scarce. In the meanwhile, post on like a rabid squirrel. You COULD try to do the "Getting to Know You" challange, mayhap you will manage to drag a lately-infrequent URer back into our noble ranks. That will be applaudable on your part, I am sure.

Well...maybe. I was just poking into UR's noble history, must admit I was slightly disappointed by the lack of silver studded dragon whips ;) ...What can I say? Everybody sort of likes seeing somebody else being told off, although I reckon that it might be prudent of me to do my own bit of groveling, despite not having done anything very wrong.

Well what is that quote... if i can touch the stars it is only because I stand on the shoulders of giants. :) You have taught me well dear friend, now I must go forth, advance and all that jazz.
You have to adopt a newbie for the 33 challenge? I didn't know that, darn it, I just missed the boat then, there was one on April Fools, but I foolishly let Meelie take her. I guess I'll just have to wait on that count. I don't suppose you'd consider chumming me for the 33 challenge, Meelie as well if she has time. I hear that it is easiest if you have friends to encourage you and reply to all the posts.

you need to adopt a newbie for the "Brand New Ongoing Memeber Challnege" which is the challenge that will bring you awesome presents of awesomnity by being promoted to a Malfoy House Elf. You need to do the 33 Challange for this too... myah, you've figured it out, haven't you?
Newbies are scarce, so you'll need to be quick, though you need to be responsible too... nearly all of my own newbies were... weirdy. Most have left UR after ten or so posts and for some it was a bit of a "Good Riddance" and I always found myself feeling slightly guilty over this, but I do find it very difficult to say "and, um, proper capitalisation is applauded, you know, and also... um, two lines of throwaway jibberish don't qualify as anything other than a one-liner, I think". But then, some are proper. Look at the gem Desie adopted last month!
Also, you'll need to do the Getting to Know You Challenge... mnyeh, I should do it again too, I haven't since ever. You need to find someone you don't know very well, (hence, not me or Des or even Meelie, I think, though Meelie could do as a last option) and PM then for a week and... get to know them. It's such a fun, fluffy challange! We'll need to find you a friendly, at-least-semi-active user who will hopefully reply. (If they don't reply, your challenge is not done. Alas.)
I'm overusing ellipses. I'm sleeeeeeepy and have a study date with my rooster tomorrow. I suspect there will be more studying than dating, but still, SQUEEEECOCKADOODLEDOO.

Friends? Now where do you suppose you could get those? Spring discount, perhaps?
I promise to help, m'Rose, every afternoon from Friday onward - NO SCHOOL! YAY! But I don't frankly think you need it - I had it, via Gin-Jess, but I barely used it at all, prefering to zigzag through threads and keep creating new ones... my, but I have such a love for creating new threads. AND POLLS. Mmmm, polls.
It's 1:31 AM and it's not even AFD. GOODNIGHT! SWEET DREAMS!
