I can't really remember why I stopped at the moment, probably because I got distracted by some other project, and I had the nagging feeling that I wasn't getting Sirius quite right. I wanted to get the sense of dark, violent under currents running through him, the unpredictable element of his personality, and then magnify it by about ten because he really doesn't like being in Slytherin. But I don't think that I quite captured that. So I...moved on to different things and sort of forgot about this.
I probably won't ever come back to it. One WIP is enough for me, at least I have more than snippets for GUB (two chapters up, woohoo), which I need to keep working on if there is going to be a chance of me finishing it. And I really really need to finish GUB, to prove that I have the stamina if nothing else. :)
My spelling is fairly awful, (I blame mild dyslexia and laziness) although I have just discovered this button on my Internet screen that spell checks stuff I'm typing on the screen. Now I just need to remember to use it.
The Weasley Twin thing... I used to really like them as well. Because, well, you read the books and their jokes, tricks and pranks are funny, but then someone pointed out to me that they are only funny because you aren't effected by them. And I realised that I am exactly the sort of person that they would have teased mercilessly in the way of popular bullies. And quite a lot of the "teasing" in the books that are presented through the Harry Filter as pranks are basically bullying.
And your AU sounds...interesting, and fun, and...interesting. :) I take it that Peter was a pureblood then? I've never even heard of Peter and Sirius being friends without James there, although I suppose with out James they would have been more likely to get on better, as taking away James would take away the whole "competition" for being James's best friend that wasn't really a competition because Sirius was too far ahead, but it certainly created resentment, on Peters part.
I do like Lily, have done ever since the Pensive scene in the fifth book, anyone who stands up to popular bullies has my full support, even if she was only butting in because she realised that it was mainly a ploy to get her attention, in this whole mutual attraction thing she and James had going on.
