So I thought I should put down some of my thoughts.

I liked it. I did. The second episode was miles better than the first but over all I was pretty happy.

I guess I was never going to be fully satisfied because unlike some other people on the internet my expectations were very high. I was looking forward to something like the end of the third season. Master/Doctor slashy goodness, strangely appropriate pop music, Donna being awesome and for my heart to be broken in two. So I got half of what I wanted.

Donna. I don't mind that she didn't remember. Well I do. But if she couldn't remember then I wanted her to help save the world even if she didn't know it. Instead she got written out. I guess I just miss the DoctorDonna. And also I wanted her to meet the Master. Mainly so that she could slap him. I really don't mind that she got married. He seems like a nice guy and you know Donna isn't one of those companions that you could say it would be OOC for her to want a family.

Doctor/Master. Well it was already canon but this was a really good slashy addition to it. I mean come on "You could be beautiful." Yes. I really did like this episode.

The other bit that people seem to have issues with is the drawn out ending. Which... well I can see why people might have issues but I can see it as Ten tying off all the dangling threads that he has left behind him during his life time. Trying to say good bye to all the people that have been such a huge part of him. They have all saved his life in so many ways and now, at the end of his life, he wants to make sure that they will go on living. Then maybe a bit of him, a bit of Ten, will go on living in them, his Children of Time. And by tying off all those strings, by finishing "the tapestry of his life" (sorry I know its corny) he was hoping that he would be able to let go, step back and give in to the regeneration. I mean he was even saying goodbye to the Tardis at the end. He didn't want to go gently in to the good night.

The only think I have issue with was that they decided to get rid of Tom. I mean why? I have now adopted the fanon I saw somewhere that said that Tom died defending orphans in Africa during CoE and Mickey gave her a shoulder to cry on which eventually turned into something more.

And you know I like Eleven already but I'm still going to miss Ten. I know I said this last time as well. I know I said that Nine was my Doctor and then Ten stole my heart but Ten is my Doctor and I'm going to miss him like crazy.

I like that idea. I think I'm going to go with that one, too.

I did toy with the whole marriage thing being an in joke between them or a cover when they had to get into another country but this is a bit more simple.

Aww, look at you doing a whole reaction post. *is proud*

1. I totally agree with you on Donna. I was all "OH SHIT" when she started to remember at the end of the last episode and I was so sure that that would turn into something. Maybe not that she would remember in the end, but at least that she would help with the final battle. Still, I am happy that she got to be married and maybe have some children, like her little imagined life in the library.

2. Doctor/Master... yeah, I felt it. Especially in the end where they both didn't kill each other - true love.

3. I am so happy that my crax Mickey/Martha shipping has become canon. (Oh, I hope Tom isn't dead. In my world he and Martha realized somewhere between Centaurin and Journey's End that they were both married to their jobs and that they should end the relationship while they could still be friends.) But even with my beloved Ten dying, I'm still filled with squeee over my two favorite characters being together. I really need an icon for them.

4. I have watched all the NewWho and some of OldWho without figuring out who my doctor is and I think I may have just found him. Eleven seemed perfectly marvelous. *is excited*

I know that honey. In fact just finished leaving a Post of Doom!TM at your journal. I mean it. This must be the longest one yet.

Donna... I guess there is always fic. I have a little snippet of personal fanon wriggling away at the back of my mind involving a future Doctor bumping in to Donna in hospital the day before she dies and letting her remember before taking her on one last trip to see the universe she saved. In my mind its beautiful. But I doubt I'll ever get it written.

Oh, lord, that is quite a comment you left on my journal, isn't it? It may take me a bit to get the reply down. (Although I did just rewatch it today on BBCA and I have all new thoughts for you.)

Oh, please write that one, please. It would be perfect. Or maybe even Ten did all that before tEoT. While he was still running away from the Ood, he zipped into her future to say goodbye to her perhaps.
